On 21st May, Grand Slam, The French Cup, will mark its beginning. ON the same day, we have Pune based Star Player Ankita Raina who also makes a history by becoming the first Pune-based player to take part in Grand Slam. She is India’s top ranked women’s singles player at 187 and was coached under Hemant Bendrey. Earlier to this, she won Fed Cup matches against China where she defeated two Chinese players, who were ranked above her.
